The Wedding of Conor & Laura
He was born in 1994, in a small farmhouse in the south of Ireland.

She was born in 1996, in a red-bricked hospital in the south of Wales.

He was the youngest of five.
Conor with his siblings Sarah, Henry, Amelia and Nancy when they were children. Sarah, Henry and Amelia are teenagers, Nancy is around aged ten and Conor is about five. Henry is holding Conor horizontally while Sarah pats him on the head.
She was joined by a brother at the age of three.

As a teenager, he spent his time making animations, dressing up, and correcting his teachers.

Her teenage years were filled with sleepovers, dressing up, and overplucking her eyebrows.

In 2013, he started studying Graphic Communication at Bath Spa University, and joined the comedy society.

In 2014, she started studying Drama at Bath Spa University, and joined the comedy society.
Laura, aged nineteen, performing her first ever stand-up set. Her hair is cut into a short bob with a full fringe, she is wearing a floral dress. She is smiling and holding a microphone to her mouth with both hands.
The two separate timelines merge into one
They met in the autumn. They made each other laugh.
Conor and Laura are sat in the Students’ Union Bar at university. They are looking at one another and have been captured mid-laughter.
They caught the same bus every week for six months.

One night, they found themselves holding hands on the bus home.
He walked her home, and they kissed at the gate.
They spent the following months having picnics in the park, rowing on the Avon, and showing each other their favourite films in bed.

Their love travelled to many places — Vienna, Paris, Copenhagen, Rome…

After two-and-a-half years, they moved in together.

Five years after they first kissed, they flew to New York.
Conor and Laura sat on a bridge in Central Park, New York. The park is in the background, and behind that you can see tall New York buildings. It is a very sunny day and they are both wearing sunglasses, leaning towards one another and smiling.
On a sunny March day in Central Park, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
She said yes, through many, many tears.
